Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar optional

Method

  1. Melt the chopped dark chocolate using a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  2. Let the melted chocolate cool slightly so it’s not too hot.
  3. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  4. Mix a small portion of whipped cream into the melted chocolate to lighten it.
  5. Gently fold the remaining whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until smooth and airy.
  6. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls.
  7. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until set and creamy.
  8. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use good-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Do not overmix or the mousse may lose its fluffy texture.
  • Make sure the chocolate is slightly cooled before mixing with whipped cream.
  • Chill longer if you want a firmer mousse.
  • Add berries or shaved chocolate on top for extra presentation.
