Ingredients
  

  • 1 pre-made tart crust
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the tart crust in a tart pan and lightly prick the base with a fork.
  3. In a mixing bowl whisk together melted butter, honey, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  4. Stir in almond extract if using.
  5. Add sliced almonds and mix until fully coated with the honey mixture.
  6. Pour the almond filling into the prepared tart crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the top turns golden and the center is slightly set.
  8. Remove from oven and allow the tart to cool for about 20 minutes before slicing.
  9. Slice and serve as is or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Use good-quality honey for the best flavor.
Allow the tart to cool properly so the filling sets nicely.
Lightly toast the almonds beforehand for a deeper nutty flavor.
You can add a little lemon or orange zest for a fresh citrus hint.
