- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Mix apples blackberries sugar cornstarch lemon juice cinnamon nutmeg and vanilla
- Place pie crust in baking dish and press gently
- Add fruit filling evenly into crust
- Cover with top crust and seal edges
- Brush egg and milk mixture over crust
- Cut small vents on top
- Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and bubbly
- Cool for at least 30 minutes before serving
Notes
Use tart apples for better flavor balance
Do not skip cornstarch to avoid a runny filling
Let the pie cool fully for clean slices
Add extra sugar if berries are too tart
