Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apples peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup milk or yogurt
  • Optional: ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • Optional: 2 tbsp brown sugar for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk oil, eggs, vanilla, and milk or yogurt.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped apples and optional nuts.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle brown sugar on top if using.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread soft and moist.
  • Use fresh or slightly tart apples for the best flavor balance.
  • Let the bread cool before slicing to avoid crumbling.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
