Ingredients
  

  • 4 –5 medium apples peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg optional
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Toss apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. Spread apples evenly in a greased baking dish.
  4. Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and butter until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle crumble mixture over apples.
  6. Bake 35–40 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
  • Mix sweet and tart apples for a richer flavor.
  • Can be made ahead and baked later.
  • Freeze before or after baking for later enjoyment.
  • Adjust sugar to taste if you prefer less sweet.
