Ingredients
  

  • 4 ripe but firm pears
  • 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter cut into small pieces
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts Greek yogurt, extra honey

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice pears in half lengthwise and scoop out cores.
  3. Place pears cut side up in a baking dish.
  4. Mix honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt in a small bowl.
  5. Drizzle mixture over pears and add butter pieces on top.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  7. Sprinkle with nuts or add a dollop of yogurt before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm, ripe pears to prevent mushiness.
  • Honey or maple syrup can be swapped with brown sugar.
  • Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
  • Add a splash of rum or brandy for extra decadence.
