Ingredients
  

  • Ripe bananas 2–4, sliced and frozen
  • Milk 1–2 tbsp, optional
  • Vanilla extract ½ tsp, optional
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chocolate chips optional
  • Peanut butter optional
  • Cocoa powder optional

Method
 

  1. Slice ripe bananas into small chunks
  2. Place banana slices on a tray and freeze for 2–3 hours
  3. Add frozen banana slices to a blender or food processor
  4. Blend until crumbly, then continue blending until creamy
  5. Add milk if needed to help blending
  6. Mix in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt
  7. Add any optional ingredients and blend briefly
  8. Serve immediately for soft texture or freeze for firmer consistency

Notes

Use overripe bananas for the best natural sweetness
Do not add too much liquid or the texture will become runny
Scrape down blender sides for even blending
Freeze leftovers in an airtight container
Let frozen ice cream sit for a few minutes before serving
