Whisk vanilla pudding mix with cold milk until thick and creamy, then let it set for a few minutes.
Slice bananas evenly and keep them ready for layering.
In a large trifle bowl, add a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom.
Add a layer of pudding over the wafers and spread evenly.
Add banana slices on top of the pudding layer.
Spread a layer of whipped cream over the bananas.
Repeat layers until the bowl is filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
Chill in the refrigerator for 2–4 hours before serving.
