Method
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat
- Add brown sugar and cinnamon and stir until smooth
- Slice bananas and add them to the pan
- Cook bananas for 2 minutes until slightly soft
- Pour in the rum carefully
- Ignite the rum or let it simmer until the alcohol cooks off
- Add vanilla extract and stir gently
- Serve immediately over vanilla ice cream
Notes
Use ripe but firm bananas for the best texture
Do not overcook bananas, or they will become mushy
