Method
- Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy
- Add flour salt butter, and egg and mix into a soft dough
- Knead dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic
- Place dough in greased bowl cover and let rise for 1–2 hours until doubled
- Punch down dough and divide into equal portions
- Shape into balls and place on a baking tray
- Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15–20 minutes until golden brown
- Brush with melted butter immediately after baking
Notes
Use warm milk, not hot, to activate the yeast properly
Do not skip the second rise for a fluffy texture
Avoid adding too much flour to keep rolls soft
Brush with butter for extra flavor and shine
