Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken pieces drumsticks, thighs, or wings
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Pour buttermilk over chicken, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in flour until fully coated.
  5. Fry chicken in batches for 12–15 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
