Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate chips and butter together until smooth and glossy.
- Mix in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
- Scoop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet with space between each.
- Press a few extra chocolate chips on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until crackly on top and slightly set.
- Let cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 20–30 minutes before baking.
Do not overbake to keep the centers soft and fudgy.
Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
