Ingredients
  

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix well, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips gently until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges turn golden brown.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a rack.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for the best cookie texture.
Do not overmix the dough to keep cookies soft and tender.
Slightly underbake the cookies if you prefer a chewy center.
You can add chopped walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh for several days.
