Method
- Pop the popcorn and place it in a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels
- Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring each time
- Stir in vanilla extract if using
- Spread popcorn onto a parchment-lined tray
- Drizzle melted chocolate evenly over the popcorn
- Sprinkle with a pinch of salt
- Let the chocolate set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes
- Break into clusters and serve
Notes
Use plain or lightly salted popcorn for the best flavor balance
Do not overheat the chocolate to avoid burning
Add toppings like nuts or sprinkles before the chocolate sets
