Ingredients

  • 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding mix 3.4 oz each
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 container whipped topping 8 oz
  • 1 box graham crackers
  • 1 can chocolate frosting about 16 oz
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Method

  1. In a large bowl whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thick and smooth.
  2. Gently fold the whipped topping and vanilla extract into the pudding mixture until fully combined.
  3. Arrange a single layer of graham crackers on the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish.
  4. Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the graham crackers.
  5. Add another layer of graham crackers on top of the pudding mixture.
  6. Spread the remaining pudding mixture evenly over the second layer.
  7. Place a final layer of graham crackers on top.
  8. Slightly warm the chocolate frosting so it spreads easily, then spread it evenly over the top layer.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight until the graham crackers soften into cake-like layers.
  10. Slice, serve chilled, and enjoy.

Notes

For best results, chill overnight for the perfect soft cake texture.
Let the frosting sit at room temperature before spreading to avoid tearing the layers.
You can use chocolate graham crackers for a richer flavor twist.
Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
