Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder then mix gently until combined.
  6. Fold chocolate chips into the batter.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until edges are set and the center remains slightly soft.
  9. Let brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Use high-quality cocoa powder for a deeper chocolate flavor.
Do not overbake, or brownies will turn dry instead of fudgy.
Allow brownies to cool before slicing for clean squares.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
