Method
- Activate yeast by mixing warm milk, sugar, and yeast and let sit until foamy
- Add melted butter, egg, and salt and mix well
- Gradually add flour and form a soft dough
- Knead dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled
- Punch down dough and divide into equal portions
- Shape into balls and place in a greased baking dish
- Cover and let rise again until puffy
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 18–22 minutes until golden brown
- Brush with melted butter and serve warm
Notes
Use warm milk, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast
Do not add too much flour, or the rolls will turn dense
Let the dough rise properly for a soft and fluffy texture
