Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chunks or chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter together until smooth and glossy.
  3. Whisk eggs and sugar in a bowl until slightly thick and shiny.
  4. Add melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract to the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. In another bowl combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate batter gently until combined.
  7. Stir in chocolate chunks or extra chips.
  8. Scoop small portions of batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until crackly on top and soft in the center.
  10. Let cookies cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Do not overbake or the cookies will lose their fudgy texture.
Use good-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
Allow melted chocolate to cool slightly before mixing with eggs.
Sprinkle a little sea salt on top for a gourmet touch.
