- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Mix butter, garlic, parsley, olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil in a bowl
- Slice bread in half lengthwise
- Spread garlic herb butter evenly over the bread
- Sprinkle cheese on top if using
- Place bread on a baking tray and bake for 10–15 minutes
- Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness (optional)
- Slice and serve warm
Notes
Use fresh garlic for a stronger flavor
Do not skip preheating the oven
Watch closely while broiling to avoid burning
Add chili flakes for a spicy kick
