Hershey Kiss Cookies Recipe

These classic Hershey Kiss Cookies are soft, buttery, and topped with a rich chocolate kiss in the center. They’re simple to bake, perfect for holidays, and always a crowd favorite. The cookies have a slightly crisp edge with a soft middle that melts in your mouth. Great for beginners or quick dessert cravings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ¾ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 24 chocolate kiss candies unwrapped
  • Extra sugar for rolling optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter granulated sugar and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl combine flour baking soda and salt then gradually mix into the dough.
  5. Roll dough into small balls about 1 tablespoon each and optionally roll in sugar.
  6. Place on baking sheet leaving space between cookies.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set and centers slightly soft.
  8. Remove from oven and gently press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  9. Let cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for smoother mixing and better cookie texture.
Do not overbake the cookies because they continue to set after removing from the oven.
Add the chocolate kiss immediately after baking so it sticks perfectly.
Chilling the dough for 15–20 minutes can help prevent spreading if your kitchen is warm.
