Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 –2 squares of chocolate or chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt into a microwave-safe mug and mix well
  2. Pour in milk, oil (or butter), and vanilla extract, and stir until smooth
  3. Push chocolate pieces into the center of the batter
  4. Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds until the top is set, but the center remains soft
  5. Let it cool for 1–2 minutes before eating
  6. Serve warm and enjoy the gooey molten center

Notes

Do not overcook, or the cake will turn dry instead of gooey
Use a large mug to prevent overflow while cooking
Add a scoop of ice cream on top for extra indulgence
Microwave times may vary, so adjust accordingly
For richer flavor, use melted chocolate instead of cocoa powder
