Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Cut puff pastry into 6–8 squares.
  4. Place apple mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold edges slightly over apples to form a tart shape.
  6. Brush pastry edges with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Cool slightly and garnish with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best results.
  • Make sure puff pastry is cold for maximum flakiness.
  • Can add a drizzle of caramel or a sprinkle of nuts for extra flavor.
