Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, toss diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Cut puff pastry into 6–8 squares.
- Place apple mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold edges slightly over apples to form a tart shape.
- Brush pastry edges with beaten egg.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly and garnish with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best results.
- Make sure puff pastry is cold for maximum flakiness.
- Can add a drizzle of caramel or a sprinkle of nuts for extra flavor.
