- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat
- Add chopped onion and cook until soft and golden
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart
- Stir in cumin, paprika, cinnamon, coriander, turmeric, chili flakes, salt, and pepper
- Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, mix well
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Stir in honey and adjust seasoning if needed
- Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley before serving
Notes
Do not skip cinnamon, as it adds authentic Moroccan flavor
