Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh or canned peaches sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep peaches: peel and slice fresh or drain canned, toss with 1/2 cup sugar.
  3. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, remaining sugar, and milk in a bowl. Add vanilla if using.
  4. Melt butter in a 9x13” baking dish, pour batter over butter (don’t stir).
  5. Scatter peaches evenly on top and sprinkle cinnamon.
  6. Bake 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool slightly before serving; top with ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • Pat canned or frozen peaches dry to avoid soggy cobbler.
  • Don’t over-stir batter with butter—layers are key.
  • Serve warm for the best comfort dessert experience.
