Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen peaches peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup sugar or sweetener of choice
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Optional: fresh mint for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water; heat until sugar dissolves to make simple syrup.
  2. Let syrup cool completely.
  3. In a blender, combine peaches, cooled syrup, and lemon juice; blend until smooth.
  4. Pour mixture into a shallow dish or ice cream maker.
  5. Freeze for at least 4 hours, stirring every 30–60 minutes if not using an ice cream maker.
  6. Scoop into bowls and garnish with fresh mint if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe, juicy peaches for the best flavor.
  • Can substitute honey or agave for sugar.
  • Sorbet can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
