Peanut Butter Cornflake Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups cornflakes
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp butter

Method
 

  1. Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, heat sugar and corn syrup over medium heat until just bubbling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until smooth.
  4. Pour mixture over cornflakes and gently mix until coated.
  5. Press mixture evenly into prepared pan.
  6. Melt chocolate chips with butter until smooth, then spread over the top.
  7. Let set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.
  8. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

  • Do not overheat the sugar mixture to keep the bars soft.
  • Use fresh cornflakes for maximum crunch.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
