Ingredients

  • 250 g linguine pasta
  • 300 g shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 –5 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp chili flakes optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  1. Boil salted water and cook linguine until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and drain
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper and set aside
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink, then remove
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant
  5. Add chili flakes and stir briefly for extra flavor
  6. Add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water, toss well
  7. Return shrimp to the pan and mix gently
  8. Squeeze lemon juice over the pasta and toss again
  9. Sprinkle parsley and Parmesan cheese, mix, and serve immediately

Notes

Do not overcook shrimp, or they will become rubbery
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, not garlic powder
Reserving pasta water helps create a silky sauce
Add cream if you prefer a richer, creamy version
Adjust chili flakes based on your spice preference
