Ingredients
  

  • lbs boneless chicken breast or thighs cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 bell pepper cut into chunks
  • 1 small onion cut into chunks
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Method
 

  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. In a large bowl, mix olive oil, yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, black pepper, and honey.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well until evenly coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to absorb.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.
  6. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, alternating with bell peppers and onion pieces if desired.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is fully cooked.
  8. Remove from the grill and let the skewers rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve hot with garlic sauce, yogurt dip, rice, or fresh salad.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 2–4 hours in the refrigerator.
Chicken thighs stay juicier than chicken breasts when grilled.
Adjust the cayenne pepper if you prefer milder or spicier skewers.
If you don’t have a grill, bake the skewers in the oven at 220°C (425°F) for about 18 minutes.
