Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • Optional: powdered sugar for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.
  3. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet and bake 20–25 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  8. Fold in chopped strawberries gently.
  9. Slice puffs in half and fill with strawberry cream.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.

Notes

  • Ensure puffs are completely cooled before filling to prevent sogginess.
  • Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Can be made a few hours ahead and stored in the fridge.
