Ingredients

For Panna Cotta:
  • Heavy cream – 2 cups
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Sugar – ⅓ cup
  • Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
  • Gelatin powder – 2 tsp
  • Cold water – 3 tbsp for blooming gelatin
For Strawberry Topping:
  • Fresh strawberries – 1½ cups
  • Sugar – 2–3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp

Method

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes until spongy.
  2. Heat cream, milk, and sugar in a pan over medium heat until sugar dissolves (do not boil).
  3. Remove from heat, add vanilla and bloomed gelatin, and mix until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour mixture into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  5. Cook strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice until soft and syrupy, then cool completely.
  6. Spoon strawberry topping over set panna cotta and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Do not boil the cream mixture, or the texture may break.
  • Chill time is important—don’t rush it or it won’t set properly.
  • You can easily customize with other fruits like mango or blueberry.
  • For a smoother finish, strain the strawberry sauce before topping.
