Ingredients
  

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  2. Cut tops off peppers and remove seeds
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned
  5. Stir in cooked rice and tomato sauce
  6. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
  7. Stuff the mixture into each bell pepper
  8. Place peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil
  9. Bake for 30 minutes
  10. Remove foil, add cheese on top, and bake 10–15 minutes more
  11. Let cool slightly before serving

Notes

Use any color bell peppers for different sweetness levels
Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option
Add chili flakes for a spicy kick
Do not overcook peppers to avoid mushy texture
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days
