Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Cut tops off peppers and remove seeds
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic
- Add ground beef and cook until browned
- Stir in cooked rice and tomato sauce
- Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
- Stuff the mixture into each bell pepper
- Place peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil
- Bake for 30 minutes
- Remove foil, add cheese on top, and bake 10–15 minutes more
- Let cool slightly before serving
Notes
Use any color bell peppers for different sweetness levels
Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option
Add chili flakes for a spicy kick
Do not overcook peppers to avoid mushy texture
