Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Place cones upright in a muffin tray
- Prepare cake batter as per package instructions
- Fill each cone 2/3 full with batter
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
- Let cool completely
- Beat butter until creamy
- Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make frosting
- Add food coloring if desired
- Pipe frosting on top like soft-serve ice cream
- Decorate with sprinkles
Notes
Do not overfill cones to prevent overflow, use foil to stabilize cones if needed, allow cupcakes to cool fully before frosting, store in an airtight container for up to 2 days
